BRITETone® – Uniquely Effective, Environmentally responsible
BRITETone’s non-toxic formula is made expressly for use on all metal parts and surfaces of horns and other band & orchestra instruments. BRITETone’s micro films are less toxic than conventional mineral oils and other petroleum based oil lubricants and conditioners. And our dry-to-the-touch films do not migrate or transfer on contact unlike silicone and Teflon. The proprietary formulation is the culmination of years of research and development in flex-film technologies, and has been a cornerstone of private label products since 1986.

The mouthpiece should first be cleaned and sterilized using conventional methods prior to applying BRITETone. Apply BRITETone® to mouthpiece receiver and shank as a post-cleaning preventative measure. Also apply internally to the throat and backbore to prevent buildup of hard scale deposits. Allow 15-20 seconds to dry thoroughly. Clean the mouthpiece rim off with medical grade denatured alcohol or preferred antiseptic after reinsertion. When applied to the mouthpiece some of the microfilm may be accidentally transferred to the mouth contact area during reassembly. We do not recommend leaving our microfilm on the mouth contact area of the mouthpiece although Sound Synergies micro films are inert and non-toxic when dry. They will not migrate or back-flush when dry. They can be totally removed with dish detergent and warm water (plain water or saliva will not remove BRITETone’s hydrophobic micro film).
